Something sweete for Advent

We have just finished mastering ‘Ravishing Sweetenesse’, an album of mid-Baroque Germanic unaccompanied violin music (phew) by George Clifford.

It is an album of many spirits: sometimes the music is tender and sounds like a ‘sweete’ voice, sometimes it is stentorian and indeed ‘ravishing’; elsewhere we hear such profuse and well-rendered double-stopping that some might question whether there can really be only one violin.

It will be available to download free of charge from Veterum Musica from 1 December.
